Philly Disaster Relief Efforts

Our church has mobilzed to give assistance to our members and those in our community who have property damage as a result of last Wednesday's storms.  Our men have spent the past several days with their chainsaws, gloves, ladders, pickup trucks, etc., helping cut and remove trees and debris from yards.

Where Was God in the Storm?

We will gather together to worship on Sunday, May 1, at 10:30 AM.  Dr. Jeff Robinson will preach on, "Where Was God in the Storm?"  Invite your neighbors and friends to join us.

Also, please help us know of those in our Philly Family who have storm damage and need help.  Please contact a member of the TLC or a deacon to let us know where help is needed.  The TLC will be meeting to discuss how we as a church family can help those who are in need. 

Bible Conference/Ordination and Installation of Our New Pastor

April 16 & 17 will be a special time in the life of Philadelphia Baptist Church.  We are excited to welcome Dr. Tom Nettles and Dr. Tom Schreiner as speakers for our Bible Conference.  They will also participate in the Ordination and Installation of Dr. Jeff Robinson as our new pastor.

Pastor Search Committee Recommendation and Important Dates

The Pastor Search Committee has recommended to the TL that Philadelphia Baptist Church pursue calling Dr. Jeff Robinson as Senior Pastor.  Therefore, the TLC announces the following very important dates for Philadelphia Baptist Church.

On the fourth Sunday night of each month Pastor Barry and Dr. Wallen will bring a series of biograpical studies on some of the greatest men in the history of the church.

Welcome Lillian Reese Von Kanel

Lily Von Kanel was born December 28 at 8:36 AM.  She weighed 6 lbs 11 ozs and is 19 in long, and she has a head full of spiky black hair.  Mom and Dad (Brittany & Brent), Grandparents (Phyliss & Terry Wright), Great-Grandmother (Rosie Wright) were all onhand to welcome her to the family and love on her!

Sanctuary Audio Renovations Begin!

 Today we began on-site work for the renovation of our sound system in the Sanctuary! Scaffolding was erected  on the stage and Marshall Croy began exploration of the space above our heads between the ceiling and the roof. Electricians also began running wires and circuits for the new lighting and sound equipment that will be installed.  Friday, they will take down the scaffolding, and the Sanctuary will be ready to use Sunday - but we will still be using the old system. The next step is the installation of the new speaker/lighting clusters. This will begin Monday, Dec.
