Women's Opportunities

ONGOING WOMEN’S MINISTRIES

Women's Ministry Organization

We hold quarterly meetings at 7:00 PM the first Monday in January, April, July and October.  All women are encouraged to attend the meetings and bring your ideas for ministry and fellowship.

Ladles of Love

This ministry involves providing a meal to the families of church members on the day of a family members’ funeral.  This requires several people to prepare dishes, serve and clean-up.

Women’s Conference/Retreat

Each year we try to participate in a national conference or hold a retreat for PBC women.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

This study group meets at 7:15 on Wednesday nights at the church.  All women are welcome at any time.  Sign-up sheets will be in the church foyer prior to the start of each new study.

Prayer and Share

Meets the first Thursday of most months at various member homes.  We enjoy refreshments and a devotion, then spend time in prayer together.

Tablescapes

The annual PBC Spring Tablescapes Luncheon [see photos] is for all women in the church.  The meal is potluck and held in the Fireside Room.  Women enjoy the meal at tables decorated by themes chosen to illustrate various Bible verses.

New Mom’s Ministry

This ministry is a happy occasion for PBC and new mothers.  A welcome home visit is made with a gift for the new parents.

PBC & COMMUNITY HOLIDAY MINISTRIES

Food for Friends

The PBC church family annually helps the “Friends” of the Birmingham Baptist Association with the outreach of feeding, clothing and providing hygiene kits for the homeless.  We collect travel-sized items and place them in gallon ziplock bags.

Operation Christmas Child

‘Bring joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes  and the Good News of God’s love.’  The Daughters of the King work with the PBC Children’s Ministry to collect shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse.

Season of our Savior

‘To touch those in need of our Savior’s love’ is the theme for this ministry opportunity from the Birmingham Baptist Association.  The PBC family is requested to provide cakes and stockings for area shelters and local community service agencies.
