Vision for PBC's Prayer Ministry

The vision for PBC’s Prayer Ministry comes from Matthew 21:13, my house shall be called a house of prayer.  It is our desire to see each person who is part of our PBC fellowship to develop a deeper relationship with Christ through prayer.  It is very easy for one prayer event (e.g., Wednesday night Prayer Meeting) to become the major prayer effort for a church body. As that happens, prayer simply becomes another "thing" the church does and takes its place among all other "ministries" of the church. Prayer then becomes peripheral instead of foundational. The biblical ideal is for prayer to be foundational to everything done in and through the church body. We pray that the Prayer Ministry will not be just another program or ministry in which to be involved; but that it would become an integral part of each person’s daily life.

Wednesday Evening Prayer
Join your PBC family for a time of corporate prayer and Bible Studay.  Begins at 6:15pm

E-mail Prayer Requests
The church office sends Prayer Requests and Updates via E-mail Monday-Friday at 4:00 PM.

Intercessory Prayer Teams
We have two volunteers each Sunday who pray during the worship services.  They pray for hearts to be touched by God's love and message of salvation; for health and growth of the Body; for lives to be changed as a result of the worship service.  They also pray for specific requests given on Prayer Request cards.

"Indeed, a person who lives in the exercise of faith and love, and who finds by experience that it is good for him to draw near to God, will not need to be told how often he must pray, any more than how often he must converse with an earthly friend.  Those whom we love, we love to be much with."                   --John Newton, (1725-1807)
