Mission Statement

Philadelphia Baptist Church recognizes the responsibility to teach children about God and to provide a nurturing environment in which they may experience God’s love.  It is our aim through the Child Development Center to provide support to families through leading and nurturing the children in our care.

Responsibilities

Philadelphia Baptist Church Child Development Center has additional responsibilities to adequately prepare children for school and to actively seek to minister to the physical and emotional needs of their families as a means of sharing with them the Gospel of Christ.  We accomplish these ministry tasks under the leadership of the church staff and Child Development Center Board by:

  1. Providing a sound academic curriculum
  2. Assessing the children’s development using effective measuring tools
  3. Providing a loving and secure environment
  4. Communicating with and praying for the families regularly
  5. Sharing family needs with the directors, therefore giving the church the opportunity to minister to the families
  6. Sharing the Gospel of Christ with the families personally when given the opportunity

Curriculum and Religious Training

Our curriculum is developed by the Education Director utilizing monthly units in conjunction with weekly units.  The units include letters, numbers, science, health, etc.  Units may also be based on the month, holiday, or season. Art, math and literature are incorporated into the curriculum each week.

We also teach the love of God through Jesus Christ His Son.  Prayer and Bible study will be held every day and chapel will be held once a week for the 3’s and 4’s.

Extra Curricular

For an additional fee we offer gymnastics, ballet, and computer for the 3’s and 4’s. Gymnastics and ballet are also offered for the 2’s.  Gymnastics and ballet take place after nap.  Computer takes place in the mornings.

Checks are to be written to the individual organization.  Please ask the Directors for more information.
